Free Concert Festival

As of today, the association "Verse and Note" has announced the official results of the competition for the 4th Music Festival "Voice of the Songwriter" Zadar 2026, which will be held on October 2 in the Polyvalent Hall of the Provider's Palace at 19:30. We find out that a total of 30 compositions were submitted to the competition. It should be pointed out that this year again, this is the only festival in the Republic of Croatia that promotes and develops the singer-songwriter scene will be of international character. The festival performs chanson, pop, rock music and is of a competitive character. The award for the best text, the award for the best music, the award for the best interpretation and the main award "Voice of the singer-songwriter" will be awarded. Festival statues are made by the Museum of Antique Glass Zadar. On the stage, the songwriters will perform their original songs in an unplugged version. Vesna Benić, the conceptual initiator of the festival, revealed to us that, as in previous years, the narrower organizing committee had a difficult task in selecting applications. It was not easy to select 14 songwriters out of a total of 30 applications. In addition to this choice, and Davor Petrovic, the director of the festival, agrees with this, there are singer-songwriters who have sent honest works worthy of attention, however, as organizers, we are powerless and limited both organizationally and financially, and we cannot afford to choose at least 3 more singer-songwriters who deserve to be presented, said Vesna Benic. The goal of the festival "Glas kantavora" Zadar is to promote the value of songwriting and enable songwriters to present themselves to a wider audience, and this year at the international festival "Glas kantavora" will perform:1 Nemanja Nesic – Ljubi me – Novi Sad 2. Tanja Radović – There is no one to give love to – Zagreb7. Srđan Špančić – I'm Watching You – Zagreb 8. Mario Kronauer Candotti – Big Water – Labin 9. Mario Markešić Maneto – Sanjati – Duga Resa10. Matija Karša (Short fuse) – This day - Belišće 11. Ivo Jurić – Sami – Promajna12. Marko Dimić – Al nije da – Zagreb 13.Gordan Nogić – Skaline- Zagreb 14. Srećko Krištofić- Candy chanson - Čakovec Festival director Davor Petrović and artistic director Vesna Benić thank everyone who submitted their applications, and encourage singer-songwriters who have not been selected to continue with their creative musical creativity and congratulate the selected ones.
